Who Wants to Learn Spanish Fast?

I’ve heard so many individuals express a desire to learn a foreign language, but who give up sadly after losing their interest while memorizing written information, working to get the tenses right, conjugations and tons of vocabulary building. But just because you hear that you can learn Spanish fast, is no reason to be suspicious; not if you find the correct method and maintain the right mental attitude.

If you have had exposure to language learning in High School, for instance, then you likely equate it with a lot of sitting in front of your lesson book, writing and memorizing, cramming for exams by rote learning, and listening very little to any real spoken Spanish if any at all; not exactly a great way to learn Spanish fast, or the way you learned English, and not as effective, for sure.

Learning to speak another language is not very different from learning most unfamiliar things in your life. As with motor skills like riding a bike, most learning and memory is greatly enhanced and improved by repetition. The more time you spend doing something, the better you get at it. And to learn Spanish fast, or any other language for that matter, is not any different.

What you need to keep in mind is that simple repetition on your part will notcreate the proper result for you, especiallyif it is done just by rote.. You need to be aware of the meaning of what you are voicing and you need to feel some reward, some benefit especially when you are simply learning if it is going to benefit you most, so as to become a natural act, as if it were a fluent one..

Some of the larger education serviceswhich have developed systems that purport to achieve this easy interface between learning and practicing, but not all are exactly equal in their benefits or their ease of use. Berlitz has been around for a long time and approaches language training in a more traditional way, requiring considerable memorization and reading as well as ample conversation, originally in classroom situations.

The Berlitz training is heads and shoulders beyond anything you would be getting in a High School Spanish class when it come to actually speaking the language but their success rate is significantly better among the more highly motivated students, such as business people on a tight schedule who need to get some basics down quickly. They don’t exactly learn Spanish fast, but they can learn to say what they need to say, even if their comprehension may not be too wonderful.

Rosetta Stone has developed a reputation for making learning conversational Spanish easier and quicker, and to some degree they have succeeded in this. Their “system” is more innovative in that it focuses on the spoken word, and they call it “Dynamic Immersion.” The basis for this approach appears to be the older and very successful system created by National Dynamics in the 80′s. National Dynamic’s system was, and is known as Speed Spanish! The premise for this system is that language has to be learned the way we did when we learned our native tongue, as children.

National Dynamics has been around for a while and has trained tens of thousands of all kinds of people, students, travellers, business people, using their proprietary technique which has proven very successful. The system is created around the principle of creating “strategies” for communicating your ideas in different situations, and they can be learned simply by listening. The first strategy is called “The Magic Circle” which lends itself extremely well to communicate in Spanish, and it is composed of six parts.

Part 1 concerns itself with learning some Spanish words or phrases. Part II teaches you some simple verbs, and Part III easy vocabulary words. But the basic technique is in learning the strategies themselves. You practice this by yourself playing their CDs or tapes, answering the questions and visualizing what it is you are saying.. This last part is very important because by doing this, you internalize what you are saying in the same way you did when you learned English as a child.

All in all, wanting to learn Spanish fast is a good start to becoming bi-lingual, but the bottom line is how you approach your learning By keeping it relevant, engaging and rewarding you will be able to maintain your motivation and reach your goal. It is important to remember, though: stay engaged!.

A proven program like Speed Spanish or Dynamic Immersion may well provide you with the kind of approach to achieve fluency.  These methods are effective and can help you to produce results which will truly delight you. You need to check out the details about these programs and decide what sounds best for you, what is most affordable, and keep in mind to be honest with yourself about what you need to learn.

In any case, if you want to learn Spanish fast, one of these methods will likely be perfect for you.
